First, please read the MBLEx info page: http://www.massage-exam.com/fsmtb-mblex.php, or the NCETMB info page: http://www.massage-exam.com/ncetmb.php
Second, notice the content weight of the MBLEx and the NCETMB and Focus your studies.
1: Professional Ethics
2: A&P/Kinesio & Body systems
6: History/CAM definitions
Third, start with the Professional Ethics Questions and work only within that section. Review each graded exam like a study guide, read the rationale and if you still have not made the connections get more information on the subject until you have the concept committed to memory. Pay particular attention to the missed questions in these exams and make professional connections. Example: Why is this specific skill done in this way? e/
Fourth, After taking 3 to 5 exams of 30 questions each, take a missed question exam to see how you have committed the information to memory. Take these missed question exams until you have cleared your missed questions queue.
When you study, it is always best to also answer any questions you have by using reference material if the rationale does not provide what you are asking. You can review each graded exam by going to the "Results Page" and clicking on the eye graphic next to the exam you desire to review.
Fifth, repeat this sequence for every section until you have 80% or better in each section.
It is also helpful to know your style of learning and read up on those tips to help you study more efficiently: http://people.usd.edu/~bwjames/tut/learning-style/
After you learn your style, you can start studying more effectively. This will increase your capacity to remember what you study. Then when you go to take the exam, do everything in your power to stay calm and relaxed, use these same study techniques to find your answers. The MBLEx and NCETMB are straight forward exams, they do not try and trick you. Use our site to practice reading each word carefully. The best thing that helped me focus was to write the words down that stand out or are key to determine the answer.
Also, if Test anxiety is an issue check out info on this as well: http://www.studygs.net/tstprp8.htm
Another helpful tool is when you study, make sure you have peace and quite? In order to focus better some must listen to music. In using this method keep in mind that the Testing center will not allow any electronics in the testing room. It is also good to study when your brain capacity is at its best. If you don't know when that is you may need to experiment. Some people find that going to bed early and waking at 4 am works best for them. It is also important to eat brain nutritious foods as well. Check out this WebMD article: http://www.webmd.com/diet/guide/eat-smart-healthier-brain
These are a few major things we suggest that help increase your capacity to remember and make connections with the Massage content. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Have a wonderful day,
